Codyson CD-7810A ultrasonic cleaner is one of the simplest models of ultrasonic cleaners. It is controlled via "ON", "OFF", and "SET" buttons. Operation time is the only adjustable parameter. There are five time values (in seconds): 90, 180, 280, 380, 480. The set value is displayed on the monitor. Time setting is performed circle-wise by the "SET" button.

Codyson CD-7810A ultrasonic cleaner is equipped with 30 mm deep oval shape tank. Its dimensions are 150 × 125 mm. Small objects can be placed into such tank. They are placed on the supports since their contact with the container metal case should be avoided. Otherwise generator can be damaged. The cleaner case is leak-proof and equipped with transparent lid. There is no option of operation liquid heating; however, you can pour already warm liquid.

Workpiece or part of the workpiece to be cleaned must be completely dipped into the processed liquid. The liquid level should not overpass MAX mark. You should take into consideration that when support with details is dipped, level of water (or special liquid) rises.

In case of severe contamination you can run additional operation cycle. We advise to wipe object after ultrasonic cleaning in order to remove detached grease.

Codyson CD-4800 ultrasonic cleaner is more powerful than CD-7810A. Its processing container is made of stainless steel and has square shape. Its dimensions are 135 × 165 mm. Control electronics is cooled by the fan in order to extend its operating life.

Controls are similar to Codyson CD-7810A controls. The same five time settings: 90, 180, 280, 380, and 480 seconds.

Control principle is the following: "SET" button sets the necessary time and "ON" button starts ultrasonic cleaner operation. The display shows countdown indication. By pressing "OFF" button you can stop or suspend operation and resume it by "ON" button from the moment you stopped it.

Codyson CD-4800 ultrasonic cleaner lid is moveable with transparent areas for visual control of the cleaning process.

Plastic basket for details to be cleaned is placed into the container. It prevents contact of metal objects with the container preserving normal operation of ultrasonic generator.

Conclusions

Workpieces with various levels of contamination and different constructive complexity require a lot of time and efforts. There are a number of disadvantages of chemical or usual mechanical cleaning, for example: complexity of penetration into hard-to-reach places of the object, risk of the surfaces damaging, inefficiency in case of severe grease. Ultrasonic cleaning method is a mechanical one. As far as liquid environments are concerned, ultrasound is applied in so called "ultrasonic cavitation" effect - fast formation and destruction of millions of the smallest bubbles in the liquid.

Cavitation is performed due to alternate waves of high and low pressure created by sound of high frequency (ultrasound). These bubbles grow from the infinitesimal size (in the phase of low pressure) to such dimensions (in the high pressure phase) when they are shrunk and torn. Cavitation process combined with the chemical impact of active substances of washing liquid leads to active cleaning of the workpiece surface from solid deposits.

Ultrasonic cleaners allow you to reduce time of such processes as extraction, dispersion, cleaning, and chemical reactions.

Codyson CD-7810 and CD-4800 ultrasonic cleaners fit for cleaning of optics, jewellery, bijouterie, electronic plates and a lot more. Their capacity allows to struggle with medium level contaminations. We advise to perform several cleaning cycles to achieve better results.

However, pay attention to the fact that high frequency vibrations lead to screws and nuts assemblies unwinding. That is why after removing workpieces with such assemblies it is necessary to observe them and tighten if needed.
