Description

EXFO MAX-730C-SM1-EA is a rugged, lightweight, and handy OTDR with a 7-inch, outdoor-enhanced touchscreen and tablet-inspired design. The device is optimized to test through optical splitters for seamless end-to-end FTTH characterization and troubleshooting. It is used to measure fiber length, total attenuation, splice loss, connector and macrobend loss, reflectance, and ORL. Setting the thresholds allows for a quick estimation of the overall condition of the network and its components.

The OTDR has an intuitive GUI with icon-based functions, instant boot-up, automatic macrobend finders, as well as improved auto and real-time modes. A built-in battery enables up to 12 hours of continuous operation. Fully featured, entry-level, compact, and lightweight, this device is a perfect choice for optical works in the field.

EXFO MAX-730C-SM1-EA is iOLM-ready (featuring an application designed to streamline OTDR testing by eliminating the need to configure parameters and/or analyze and interpret multiple complex OTDR traces).
