Description

EXFO MAXTESTER MAX-730C-SM2 is a rugged, lightweight, and handy OTDR with a 7-inch, outdoor-enhanced touchscreen and tablet-inspired design. The device is optimized to test through optical splitters, for seamless end-to-end FTTH characterization and troubleshooting. It is used to measure fiber length, total attenuation, splice loss, connector and macrobend loss, reflectance, ORL. Setting the thresholds allows for quickly estimating the overall condition of the network and its components.

The OTDR has an intuitive GUI with icon-based functions, instant boot-up, automatic macrobend finders as well as improved auto and real-time modes. The built-in battery provides up to 12 hours of continuous operation. Fully featured, entry-level, compact, and lightweight, this device is ideal for optical work in the field.

This EXFO MAXTESTER MAX-730C-SM2 is iOLM-ready (it is an application designed to simplify OTDR testing by eliminating the need to configure parameters, and/or analyze and interpret multiple complex OTDR traces).
