Overview
Description
EXFO FIP-430B is a highly advanced USB-wired model of the highly popular FIP-400B inspection probe product line. This inspection probe is designed to carry out a comprehensive check of the health status and quality of optical connectors, which directly impact the quality of fiber optical connections, in a fully automated mode. The probe integrates a number of core functions necessary for inspecting and testing optical patchcord connectors and optical patch panels.
With its fully automated features, the FIP-430B automatically adjusts and optimizes image focus and centering to deliver optimized image quality, and automatically captures and analyzes obtained data in line with preprogrammed IEC, IPC or custom standards to provide accurate results. All of these operations are performed in one step.
The auto focus feature enables you to inspect the health status of optical connectors automatically, without any need for manual operations or repositioning of the probe.
The high accuracy of assessment provided by the EXFO FIP-430B eliminates false-positive optical fiber test results that may involve additional costs as tolerances for insertion loss (IL) and optical return loss (ORL) decrease with higher data transfer rates.
Thanks to three available magnification levels enabling the detection of imperceptible contaminants at the periphery of optical connectors, a convenient color indication of connector test results, small size, stable hold, rugged design, and safety for the eyes, EXFO FIP-430B is a number one choice for fiber optical networks professionals.
